You know when you get a new cookbook, but you only ever end up using two or three recipes from it? Coming along to Cookbook Club means that you'll get to try a whole range of recipes from one book or author to see what you fancy, maybe broaden your palate, and have a jolly fun evening meeting others while you're at it! Just think of a big themed potluck dinner and you've got the idea.
Each person who comes bring a pre-cooked dish from the selected cookbook or author, to share with the others. One recipe's worth, about four portions, will be enough. We then introduce ourselves and our meal and tuck in! You can see what others are cooking on the event page, so check the list and let us know what you want to make when you book your place, so there's no crossover.
Here's an article explaining more about attending and running a cookbook club: Why Cookbook Clubs Should Be the New Way We Entertain
It's at The Skiff in the centre of Brighton (6 Gloucester Street, BN1 4EW). You can find it at the pink pin here:
You can order your free ticket here.
Along with your dish, bring some tupperware for taking home leftovers, and a bottle of something to share if you fancy a drink with your food. We provide plates, cutlery, glasses and a microwave if you need to warm something up. We also have a fridge where you can store anything if you'd like to drop it off during the day, just let us know if you'd like to do this and we'll clear you some space.
